Christopher Binns is a Halifax born composer and conductor. He has wide experience of

 

performing with bands and choirs, and many of his compositions are written either for 

 

concert band or youth choir.

 

He was the Musical Director of Halifax Concert Band from 1996 to 2018 and a number of his 

 

band pieces feature in Halifax Concert Band's repertoire; several were specially written 

 

for the band and some of its outstanding soloists.

 

His music has been broadcast on radio and television, and recorded by bands of H. M. Armed 

 

Forces. Halifax Concert Band CDs also feature his compositions.
